Town Flags Have Arrived– The Town of Chapel Hill is now stocked with new Town flags for surrounding schools, businesses and public facilities. The design, created in 1990, depicts a dark silhouette of buildings and trees on a white chevron between a green hill and a blue sky. Flags may be purchased at Town Hall, 405 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

Voter Owned Elections – The Council enacted an ordinance to establish the Town of Chapel Hill Voter Owned Election Program. The Town is the first municipality in the State of North Carolina to be authorized to establish a program to provide public funding to candidates for municipal office.

Drawings of 140 West – Architectural drawings for the Downtown Economic Development Initiative (also known as the Lot 5 Project and 140 West) are now available for viewing on the web at townhall.townofchapelhill.org/projects/dedi/ maps_photos_graphics/. The renderings show the elevation and building materials of the three-section complex featuring condominiums, retail, and parking on Town-owned Parking Lot 5 in downtown Chapel Hill.
Water Supply Advisory – Recent rainfalls have increased the water levels in OWASA’s reservoirs, and the
Stage 1 Water Shortage has been reduced to a Water Supply Advisory. Use of reclaimed water and rainwater is strongly encouraged. Spray irrigation is limited to three days per week before 9 a.m. and after 8 p.m., for a total of one inch per week. More…

Town Caps Available
– Town of Chapel Hill baseball caps are available for purchase. The caps are sold for $20 each at the Revenue Collections Window on the first floor of Town Hall, 405 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Chapel Hill history books and lapel pins are also sold here.
