The Town of Chapel Hill’s Community Arts & Culture Division is bringing the community together for its annual Thanks + Giving Food Truck Rodeo and Nonprofit Showcase. This event will include a variety of food trucks and free activities hosted by local nonprofit organizations.

The Town of Chapel Hill is preparing for Halloween. Plans include a closure of Franklin Street, Columbia Street, and a few connecting roads to vehicle traffic Tuesday, October 31, to protect people walking, biking, and moving around downtown.
Register for Parks and Recreation winter programs starting Tues., Oct. 31 for residents or Thurs., Nov. 2 for non-residents. They'll release the winter RECREATE activity guide on Mon., Oct. 23. These programs begin in December 2023 and run through the end of February 2024.
Chapel Hill Town Manager Chris Blue has appointed Susan Brown as the Town’s new Executive Director for Strategic Communications, effective November 1. Brown has served as Director of Chapel Hill Public Library since 2013 and as Executive Director for Community Arts and Culture since 2017.
