Chapel Hill Parks and Recreation has released its 2019 Winter-Spring Recreation Programs. Featured in this year’s line-up are a new Egg Splash aquatic egg hunt, summer and spring break camps, adult softball leagues, and new youth and teen programs.
Chapel Hill is coordinating with UNC-Chapel Hill to prepare for a public demonstration Monday, Dec. 3, in response to a plan for the Confederate monument.
The Chapel Hill Town Council met on Nov. 28 to consider an agenda that included potential development partners for 2200 Homestead Road, cooperative agreement with Go Triangle on light rail project, agreement for solid waste and recycling programs and services and more.
"Opening Our Future," a traveling exhibit about the Civil Rights Movement in Chapel Hill, will be unveiled Friday, Nov. 30, at Chapel Hill Public Library.
Chapel Hill Transit will provide Tar Heel Express shuttle service for the basketball game on Wednesday, Dec. 5. Shuttles will start at 7:30 p.m. from park and ride lots at Friday Center, Southern Village, Airport Drive and Jones Ferry.
