Chapel Hill Community Center Park to Close for Improvements
The playground at the Chapel Hill Community Center Park is one of the town’s most used. It is also one of our oldest playgrounds. We will close the playground for about two weeks starting Monday, March 19 in order to make necessary repairs and improvements.

Tree Replacement: 114 S. Columbia St.
A tree in front of University Baptist Church at 114 S. Columbia St. (at the Franklin Street intersection) is in poor health and is scheduled to be replaced.

Spring Holiday Service Schedule
Most municipal offices will be closed Friday, March 30. Chapel Hill Public Library will be closed Sunday, April 1. Chapel Hill Transit will operate on a Saturday schedule.

The Chapel Hill Police Department has charged Michael Farrar, 57, of Pittsboro with one felony count of common law robbery of the Food Lion in the Timberlyne Shopping Center on Weaver Dairy Road on Tuesday, Feb. 27.

New Partnership brings FIT4MOM and Stroller Strides to Chapel Hill Community Center
A Spring Grand Opening of Stroller Strides at the Chapel Hill Community Center will be presented on Saturday, March 17 at 11 a.m. Participants will enjoy raffle prizes, vendors, and more! Stroller Strides classes will be held at the Chapel Hill Community Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
