Booker Creek Working Group Meeting (Virtual Meeting)

The Booker Creek Working Group will hold its first meeting to begin to build an effective and productive culture for the group while shaping the group’s charge and leadership. There will be time for attendees to ask questions. Information about the Booker Creek Working Group will be available at www.townofchapelhill.org/BookerCreekStudies.

The Town will not provide a physical location for viewing the meeting.

Verbal Comments: At the appropriate time, the Moderator will provide attendees the option to use the raise the hand function or *9 via phone to indicate your desire to ask a question. Individuals with a ‘raised hand’ will then be brought into the public portion of the meeting one at a time.

  • Consider ground rules for working together
  • Explore potential desired outcomes for the work
  • Identify leadership for the group
  • Hear from the public

Consider group ground rules

To promote a productive and effective group culture, the following ground rules are proposed:

  • Begin and adjourn on time
  • One speaker at a time
  • Listen for understanding
  • Say what you need to say while making room for others to say what they need to say
  • Embrace a learning mindset
  • Be mindful of assumptions & ask questions
  • It is OK to disagree…please do so respectfully
  • Share your own story and respect the stories of others
