Town staff will share Legion Property Committee (LPC) recommendations that are scheduled to be discussed by the Town Council at their December 7 meeting. The Mayor formed the LPC in October 2022 to develop recommendations on the future use of the Legion Property. For an overview of the property see https://www.townofchapelhill.org/legion.
There will be opportunities for public feedback and comment during this public information meeting. The approximate schedule for the meeting:
6:30pm - 7:15pm
Site information and LPC recommendations available for review. Public comment station available to submit written feedback. Town staff on hand to answer questions.
7:15pm - 8:00pm
Oral comment period. Anyone wishing to make comments in the meeting may sign up to speak. Speaking time will be limited to no more than two minutes.
Anyone wishing to submit feedback on the LPC recommendations prior to the December 7 Council meeting may use the Town's public input page. The page will remain up through Sunday, December 4, 2022.
Notice is being provided that this meeting would also constitute a meeting of the Town Council under the open meetings law if five or more Council members attend. Legion Property Committee recommendations will be considered at a regular Council meeting for official action by the Council.
