Help us celebrate the exciting arrival of two brand-new Carolina blue fire engines on Saturday, April 13. We’re hosting traditional push-in ceremonies at Station 2 (Engine 32) and Station 3 (Engine 33).

A push-in ceremony is a nod to the days of firefighting before motor vehicles. Firefighters had to push equipment back into their stations to get ready for their next call. These ceremonies allow us to recognize our past and celebrate the future.

The push-in ceremonies will be similar and will occur at the same time. If you’d like to join, please head to the station closest to your neighborhood.

• Station 2 at 1003 Hamilton Rd. and Station 3 at 1615 E Franklin St.
  • 9am – check out the fire trucks and explore the stations
  • 9:45am – brief push-in ceremony
