Public Meeting for Brownfields Site-Chapel Hill Police Property
RALEIGH – The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) will hold a public meeting on September 18 on the draft Brownfields Agreement for the redevelopment of the Town of Chapel Hill Police Property located at 828 Martin Luther King, Jr Boulevard. The public is invited to attend in-person and provide comment or listen to the meeting online.
The public meeting will include a presentation on the NC Brownfields Program, including the brownfields process, environmental risk assessment and risk management, site-specific summary of results, the work the Town will be required to perform, and the land use restrictions imposed by the brownfields agreement.
An opportunity to provide public comment will be provided for in-person attendees and sign up will be available on arrival at the library. Comment may be limited to 2 minutes per speaker depending on the volume of commenters.
