Lower Booker Creek Subwatershed Study Public Information Meeting

The drop-in session will start with a short presentation. Participants will then have opportunities to talk directly with the consultants, look at maps, and take the survey. This session is a repeat of the first LBCSWS meeting held from 11:30am-1:30pm earlier in the day.

The Town of Chapel Hill’s Stormwater Management Program is continuing the development of subwatershed planning as a part of a strategic initiative identified in the Stormwater Management Master Plan. The Lower Booker Creek Subwatershed Study (LBCSWS) is underway, and residents, business owners and visitors within the subwatershed are especially invited to participate in this important process.

The goals of the study are to inventory existing hydrologic, stream channel, drainage, and stormwater infrastructure conditions, and to recommend and prioritize projects that will help to lessen existing flooding, stabilize streams, and improve water quality in the Town’s watersheds.

The Town’s consultant, W.K. Dickson, is hosting this event.
