Chapel Hill is home to diverse young people.  As of 2019, an estimated 47% of Chapel Hill residents are younger than 25.  Roughly 1 in 3 Chapel Hill residents are between the age of 18 to 24.  

The Town is committed to engaging with our young people, elevating their voices in the community, and enhancing services and programs that support them. 

Key initiatives include: 

• Outreach to college students through programs like the Good Neighbor Initiative and the Tar Heel Citizen Times
