Purpose
This policy establishes procedures for removing individuals from the Trespass List and requesting Limited Visitation Privileges.

Procedures for Removing Individuals from the Trespass List
Individuals who have been trespassed from public housing properties, who have not been charged with a serious misdemeanor, a drug related offense, or any violent crime offense, may request to be removed from the Trespass List in accordance with the following procedures:

1. Apply for removal after a two-year period from the original date of the trespass complaint.
2. Submit a letter to the Housing Officer requesting to be removed and state the reason for the request.
3. Provide a Police Record showing they have not been charged with a serious misdemeanor or a felony.
4. Provide written verification that they have not been incarcerated during the two-year period.

The request for removal will be reviewed by a panel consisting of a representative of the Resident Council, the Supervisor of the Community Oriented Policing Program, the Housing Officer, and the Human Services Coordinator. A recommendation will be forwarded to the Director of the Department of Housing for review, approval and notification to the applicant within 7 business days.

Procedure for Requesting Limited Visitation Privileges
Anyone who is currently on the Trespass List and has NOT BEEN CHARGED with a serious misdemeanor, a drug related offense, or any violent crime offense, may request limited visitation privileges on public housing properties.

Anyone on the Trespass List may request limited visitation privileges in accordance with the following procedures:

1. Limited visitation privileges will be granted only for serious reasons (death or illness) involving member of the household of requested visitation.
2. Applications for limited visitation privileges are to be submitted to the Housing Officer stating the reason for the request.
3. Any false information on the application will result in denial of the application.
4. Any violations while using the visitation privileges will result in the privilege being revoked.
5. Anyone who is currently on the Trespass List and wants to request limited visitation privileges must have the head of household of requested visitation agree to be responsible for them while on public housing property.

The request for limited visitation will be reviewed by a panel consisting of a representative of the Resident Council, the Supervisor of the Community Orientated Policing Program, the Housing Officer, and the Human Services Coordinator. A recommendation will be forwarded to the Director of the Department of Housing for review, approval and notification to the applicant within 7 business days.
