Chapel Hill Town officials are considering whether to ease the Town’s signage rules to permit larger signs for commercial centers such as Meadowmont Village, Southern Village, Eastgate and University Mall.
The Town Council has urged members of the General Assembly and Governor Perdue to oppose anti-municipal broadband bills that would prohibit or limit the ability of local governments to provide broadband or any other communication services or systems.
The Town Council will meet for a work session at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 17, at the Chapel Hill Public Library to discuss the process and approach for developing a new Comprehensive Plan, the guiding document that articulates a vision and direction for the community.
