Affordable Housing and Community Connections has launched Cookies and Community in the fall of 2023. 

Responding to key findings from the Gap Analysis and Engagement Study, the Town’s Community Connections Team established this initiative to build ongoing relationships with under-engaged residents by increasing opportunities to have consistent face-to-face interactions out in the community.  

Cookies and Community is designed to expand the Town’s outreach by reducing barriers to Town information, using new communication tools, and increasing Town accessibility to residents. 

Current locations:

• Hargraves Community Center
• South Estes Public Housing Community Center
• Airport Gardens Public Housing Community Center
• Elliott Woods Apartments
• Manley Estates Senior Apartments

This approach provides an opportunity for residents to learn about Town programs and services, gather Town information, and share their interests and concerns at convenient locations.

It also provides an opportunity for Town staff to center the voices of those most impacted by Town decisions. 

Cookies and Community - connecting, learning, and sharing with residents in their neighborhood to build a healthy and inclusive community.
