Compliments and Complaints

The Chapel Hill Police Department is committed to open communication with the public on the performance of our personnel.  We are always pleased to hear that an employee’s performance was outstanding, and we need to know when an employee fails to meet a community member’s expectations.  Therefore it is the policy of the Chapel Hill Police Department to receive, document, and promptly respond to all compliments and complaints received from the public.  All complaints will be investigated and resolved in accordance with Chapel Hill Police Department and Town of Chapel Hill policy.

Providing Feedback on an Employee’s Performance

While the Chapel Hill Police Department welcomes feedback from the public in any way they choose to provide it, we have provided the web form below for convenience and consistency in collecting information.  If you prefer to print a paper form click here.  The paper form can be dropped off or mailed to the address below. It can also be emailed to Lt. Haywood.
